Historical facts:    Opened on June 1st, 1931, serving the borough of Queens. Covers the largest Boro of NYC (111sq miles) including 2 airports, MLB Stadium (Citi Field), Arthur Ash Tennis Stadium, multiple bridges and tunnels and 79 miles of shoreline. Over the years Rescue 4 responded to many major emergencies and fires including plane crashes, Father’s Day fire and September 11th.
